WaveNode is a free synthesizer. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We measure how the instrument is used so we can make it better — and that is all.

Your choice, right now
What we collect
Anonymous usage analytics. When you use the site or the app we record product events — a page view, starting the tutorial, moving to the next lesson, playing a demo sound, clicking Play Now or Download, submitting your email. Each event carries a random identifier for your browser, the page path, your device type (phone, tablet or desktop), the app version, and an approximate location (country and region) that our analytics provider derives from your IP address. We do not store your full IP address.
Your email address — only if you type it into the subscribe form. It is used to email you about WaveNode, and nothing else.
What we deliberately do not collect.We do not record what you play, the audio you make, your presets, or your projects. Those live in your browser’s local storage or on your own disk. We do not follow you across other websites.

Where consent is required, nothing above except wn_consent is written until you choose — and declining removes what was already stored.
Who processes it
Product analytics. Hosted in the European Union — the data stays there.
Website hosting, and cookieless aggregate traffic counts.
Sends the confirmation email if you subscribe, and stores the mailing list.
Legal basis and your rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our basis for analytics is your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time using the controls above. Our basis for the mailing list is also consent, given when you submit the form; every email includes an unsubscribe link.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because analytics data is tied only to a random browser identifier and never to your name, the fastest way to erase it is the Delete my identifier button above. For anything else — including removal from the mailing list — email us and we will act within 30 days.
Retention
Analytics events are kept for up to 12 months. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. WaveNode is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Who runs WaveNode
WaveNode is made by Eli Miller, an independent developer in New York. For GDPR purposes he is the data controller for everything described on this page.
